Shredder (real name Oroku Saki) was the leader of the Foot Clan, and mortal enemy to Splinter. The long rivalry ended between the two ended, when Shredder became the Super Shredder, which led to an inevitable showdown. Super Shredder proved far to powerful, however, and killed Splinter.[1] This led to Splinter's sons, the Turtles, to exact vengeance, with Leonardo cutting the head off of Super Shredder.[2]

History[]

Early life[]

The start of the rivalry[]

Tmnt-flashback

Oroku walking away from Hamato after destroying his house.

When he was young, Oroku Saki was friends with Hamato Yoshi. They both fell in love with the same woman, Tang Shen. She soon got married to Hamato and they had a child named Miwa. Oroku was very discouraged by this, so he turned into the Shredder. Shredder came to Hamato's house and threatened him in front of his family. Eventually he burned thier house, killing Tang and Miwa. The fire also drasticly injured Shredder, burning his skin. He than ran from Hamato, who at the time was mourning because of the death of his wife death (Miwa was presumed to be dead).

Recreating the Foot Clan[]

Some time after destroying Hamato's house, Shredder revived the Foot Clan army in Japan.
